The Corfu facility is located in Alykes, on a privately-owned area of 10,700 square meters. The total storage capacity of the facility is approximately 4,070m3 and the daily distribution capacity by tanker trucks is more than 100 m3 of fuels, over an 8-hour operation during the winter months, and over 300m3 of fuels during the summer. There are 5 employees -under permanent and temp contracts- working on-site.
There is a total of five (5) big ground and aviation fuel tanks and three (3) small service tanks. Refueling takes place with tankers through a mooring pier and a system of two 8’’ and 6’’ overground pipes, about 280 meters long, that connect the pier with the onshore facility, at a speed of 280-300m3/hour.
The tankers that can be accommodated at the pier have a total tonnage of 2.000 DWT, and a stern unloading capacity.
Tanker trucks loading takes place via one loading hub, into fully automated bottom loading systems, at a speed of 100m3/hour, for up to 3 products simultaneously. The loading systems feature automatic additives injection set-ups during loading.
The facility has a Vapor Recovery Unit (VRU), a wastewater treatment unit, state-of-the-art pumping station, and fire extinction water tank, while it fully complies with all corporate health and safety regulations, and meets all environmental legislation requirements.
The Corfu facility serves the ground fuel supply needs of the island and supplies with aviation fuels the airport of Corfu.
