Continuing on from EXXON, EKO has engaged in Aviation fuels since 1984. Following a large investment and gradual development plan, it created the largest Aviation refueling network in Greece.
Through a network of owned facilities and equipment at 23 regional airports of Greece and its participation as a shareholder in the company Safco S.A. at the Athens Airport 'El. Venizelos’, over recent years EKO steadily remains the largestaviation fuel supplier in Greece. Its broad customer base includes major airlines with significant operational role in Greece, such as the LUFTHANSA Group, TUI Group, KLM, SAS, AEGEAN.
Its presence extends to Cyprus, where in cooperation with its subsidiary RAMOIL, it serves the Airlines at the country’s 2 airports.
EKO aims to achieve a high level of safety and efficiency in its customer service. The principles governing the operation of the Aviation sector is the assurance of fuel quality, the unobstructed and smooth refueling of the airports, the safe operation of the facilities, the health and safety of workers and all those involved in the activity, as well as the protection of the environment in each operational step.
Having adopted the highest international operational standards, an experienced and well-educated workforce, a modern network of equipment and facilities, and utilizing International Technical Support Contracts through an intense inspection program by internationally recognized bodies (IATA, ISO), EKO firmly safeguards its principles and provides deserving services and quality with safety and efficiency to the airlines that have placed their trust in it.
EKO has been an active member of the JIG (Joint Inspection Group) since 2011 and the Aircraft Refueling Facilities network is certified according to EN ISO 9001/14001 and OHSAS 18001.
